Factories of the Future Cluster Event

The ISE project is organising cross-border programme to visit the Factories of the Future initiative in Kortrijk, Belgium on 6 March 2020. The event will enable companies to find out more about production processes and future trends.


Friday 6 March 2020 (UK Partners & Companies Only for Travel)

07:20               Kent delegation meet in the car park at Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, Ashford Business Point, Waterbrook Avenue, Sevington, Ashford TN24 0LH

07:20               Depart Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce by minibus to Nelson Mandelaplein (Events Venue), 8500 Kortrijk for the AR / VR Lab

07:45               Check-In for Eurotunnel Crossing

08:50               Eurotunnel Crossing 

10:30               Arrival in Calais

10:30               Depart Calais by minibus to Kortrijk

12:00               Arrival in Kortrijk  

12:00 - 13:30 Networking Lunch (at Eethuis Walle 111 restaurant)

13:30 - 17:30 Guided visit by experts to three application labs
(all labs are within walking distance of each other):

  • AR / VR Lab (at Nelson Mandelaplein, 8500 Kortrijk)
  • Smart Assembly Lab (at Karel de Goedelaan, 8500 Kortrijk)
  • Smart Production Lab (at Karel de Goedelaan, 8500 Kortrijk)

17:30               End of Programme & All ISE Delegates Depart

17:30               Kent Delegation depart Kortrijk and travel by minibus to Calais

19:20               Check-In for Eurotunnel Crossing

20:20               Eurotunnel Crossing  

19:45               Approximate arrival time at Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce, Ashford

Please note that this cross-border programme is aimed at companies from/interested in becoming members of the ISE Cross-Border Cluster (Mechatronics). 

The clusters provide a forum for businesses and experts from the 4 ISE countries (UK, France, Belgium & the Netherlands) to meet together, collaborate and attend a series of bespoke cluster events.

This programme is being organised through the EU funded ISE Project and is subject to de minimis state aid regulations. 

Intended for: Companies from the ISE regions which are part of (or able to joint) the ISE Mechatronics Cluster
